How To Create an Indoor Cat Garden

Yes, You Can Have Plants and Cats!

When I visit many clients I find they never have any plants!  Why?  Well, the main reason given is often times the cat eats the plants.  And well, there's a lot of plants out there that are hazardouse or down right deadly to our feline friends.  With this in mind I set out to recreate the indoor living space for my own cats adding in plants we both could enjoy.

I quickly learned there are actually many plants that are cat friendly and enjoyed by them.  Of course, catnip is high on the list as well as the infamous cat grasses.  But I wanted to go deeper into the garden and really find some more friendly plants.  To my surprise here is the starter list I discovered and that my cats adore!

  • Catnip
  • Lemon Grass
  • Rosemary
  • Parsley
  • Arugala
  • Spider plant
  • Basil
  • Cat grass

So I pulled together 3 beautiful pots and planted these for my indoor cats to enjoy.  You can find the images on our Instagram Feed!  Along with a few of our kitty tribe members enjoying their own owner's version of a little bit of paradise.
