Cat behavior is a growing area of science. Over the past decade the study of the domestic cat has expanded and grown. Everything from television shows to feline credentialed veterinary practices means the most popular pet in the United States is finally getting the attention they deserve. Cats have lived with us for over 10,000 years and we had a symbiotic type relationship. It has only been recently, in the last 100 years, we have truly decided to bring them into our homes as pets. Unlike their dog counterparts who were trained for jobs from hunting to defense, cats didn't need us to train them for the job we wanted them to do. But, times have changed, and today's modern cat is one of the least understood pets owned today.
My book, Understanding Cat Behavior, is dedicated to the first feline I have ever owned. Tilei really set my feet on a path that would change my life. She gave me a real education on behavior, cat training, and feline illness indicators. Since then I have come to know thousands of cats either through cat sitting or through behavior modification. You can read some of my case studies in my book.
When you work with me regarding your cat's behavior my assistance can be as minimal as a brief phone call or as extensive as a 30-day plan. While I cannot guarantee your cat's behavior will be completely changed, I can say you will both come away with a far better understanding of why the behavior is happening and how to mitigate it or manage it.

Dogs were trained for centuries to do certain jobs, the modern day domestic cat is not a dog.
